Luminox

Luminox was founded in 1989 by the American Barry Cohen. His vision was to develop high-performance sports watches that would feature state-of-the-art illumination and the best readability. By 1992, the legendary Luminox Navy SEAL watch was born, and in the years that followed, other elite units such as the New York Police Department, the Singapore Air Force, and the special units of the Israeli army also switched to Luminox. In 1998, the first super watch was developed for pilots of stealth aircraft such as the F-117 Nighthawk, and in 2002 the American bobsled team at the Olympics wore Luminox Navy SEAL Colormark 3001 and 3057 series watches. Later, Luminox ventured further into the field of deep-sea diving, and in 2010 presented the Deep-Dive Automatic series with ISO-6425 certification. Since the beginning of the company's history, Luminox watches have been produced by Mondaine in Biberist, Solothurn, and bear the prestigious Swiss-made signet. In 2020, with Bear Grylls as its brand ambassador, Luminox made a new splash and established itself in the survival and outdoor sector.
