5 beautiful shortcuts to the Advent wreath
I usually make my own Advent wreath. But this year I need a simple solution that doesn't require any greenery. It will probably be one of these five elegant alternatives.
A year's break was not enough. Shortly before the start of the Christmas season, I'm still sick of fir greenery. And I'm also sick of making my own Advent wreath. Because buying a ready-made one is out of the question for me as a hobbyist, I looked for quick alternatives and found five right away.
1. Fake it
Wreaths don't always have to be natural. There are also variants made of iron that imitate natural things. Whether fir greenery, eucalyptus or pepper tree - the leaves, some of which are very detailed, add a delicate touch to any arrangement despite their cool material. Best of all, they stay green and fresh. And if, like me, you've had enough of the classic red-green, you'll also find lots of variations in other colours.

2. Go for an ornate candlestick
A pretty candlestick is half the battle. At the moment, there are many designer pieces that look like sculptures even without candles. You only need a little decoration to make the wreath shine. A few wild berry branches or Christmas baubles and, of course, four lights.

3. Choose special wax creations
Even the most boring stand gets an update with specially shaped wax towers. And there are plenty of them on the market right now. From spirals and columns to figures, there are no limits to your imagination. Add a few details such as branches and nuts and the eye-catching arrangement is complete.

4. Commit breaks in style
Instead of choosing a candlestick that is intended for a quartet, you can also combine four soloists. Play with colours, shapes and heights. In the end, everything becomes one visual unit by using four identical candles.
At the end of the day, the candleholder will look like a whole.

5. Put on one instead of four
Who says a Christmas wreath always needs four wax towers? A single calendar candle is also a nice way to look forward to the feast of love - every day. You can label them yourself, stick them on or use ready-labelled models.

The shortcuts all have their own special features: modern materials, sculptural shapes or typographic elements. It's hard to choose. Fortunately, I still have some time until the end of the month to decide.
