At last! The Pixel Watch pauses automatically while jogging
The Pixel Watch will soon be able to measure oxygen saturation and its Google Assistant will understand more languages. But above all, the smartwatch will finally pause automatically when I'm waiting at traffic lights while jogging.
Google fixes a major annoyance of the Pixel Watch with the latest Pixel Feature Drop. When I test, I was very surprised that a standard function such as automatic pausing when jogging was not available. This is now finally coming to the smartwatch. However, the update will bring even more innovations in the coming weeks.
Measure oxygen saturation in the blood, indicate outliers in the pulse
Following the update, the Pixel Watch will be able to measure oxygen saturation in the blood. The smartwatch uses this to assess the quality of your sleep, among other things. The value also helps it to assess the effects of your training. The smartwatch will also soon be able to indicate if your heart rate is unusually high or low.
In addition, you will soon be able to speak to the Google Assistant under WearOS in Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Polish and Swedish. Spotify is also bringing three new tiles to the Pixel Watch, which will provide direct access to DJ sessions, podcasts and your favourite songs.
