I'm currently moving into a bigger flat and looking for new furniture. In this series, I'm browsing through the Galaxus shop for each of my rooms and introducing some products that I can imagine using in my new place. Today I'm continuing with the living room.
This series is coming to an end. There are only two rooms left: the living room and the hobby room. In my eyes, the living room is the most important room in a flat. It's where I spend most of my time. My living room furniture is probably a little unusual because I don't have a couch, but two armchairs - simply because I like it that way. My large desk forms the centre, so to speak. That's where I work, watch TV and spend my free time on the PC. I confess: I even eat at this desk most of the time. Another important accessory is my dartboard. So I already had most of the furnishings. The only thing missing is the finishing touches. And that's where you, the reader, come in. More on that later.
In this article, I'll introduce you to five products from the Galaxus shop that I considered when furnishing my living room. At the end of this series, I'll show you what I actually chose and how I felt about it. And sorry: some products may not be available in all country shops.

1. television
First of all: Yes, I already have a TV. But it's old. I bought my current TV in 2008. I can no longer say exactly which model it is. It's a Panasonic with a screen diagonal of 80 centimetres. I actually wanted to wait until it broke down. That was already under consideration a few years ago, but it just keeps going and going and going. The move is the ideal time for me to banish the old appliance to another room and buy a new model.
The next step is to decide what kind of TV I want. The choice is huge. There are a few things I should know and consider beforehand: for example, the screen size and screen type (LCD or OLED). I quickly decided on a 55-inch screen, as I'm sitting about two metres away from the set. I also wanted an OLED television. The better picture and the rich black are convincing arguments from my point of view, as it is usually a little darker in my room. I asked our TV expert Luca for advice and he directly recommended the LG OLED55C37LA, saying it was "the best value for money in OLED TVs". What do you think of this choice? 2. gaming chair
I currently have four seats in my living room: an exercise ball, a folding chair and two armchairs. And I actually sit in an armchair every day at the moment, whether I'm working from home or using my PC in my free time. From an ergonomic point of view, this is probably not the best solution for my back. So it's time for a gaming chair. However, as I'm a bit broader, I can't sit well on every chair. Unfortunately, you can only rarely sit on gaming chairs to try them out. And so far, I've never really liked the models.

One thing I always need: storage space. Be it for books, DVDs, office supplies or my darts. You have to store your belongings somehow. With the room in mind, I chose a corner shelf that I find interesting: the VCM Mintis wooden corner wall shelf. The beech wood matches my desk and its dimensions also fit in the corner facing the balcony door.
