The Fritz!Box 7580 brings the high-speed home network to every DSL connection - whether ADSL, ADSL2+ or VDSL - and meets the highest demands with a wealth of extras. With VDSL vectoring, the Fritz!Box
supports the current standard for transmission rates of more than 100 Mbps. The data throughput within adjacent copper cables is thus noticeably improved.
The Fritz!Box 7580 can be used on the DSL connections of all providers.
With its innovative WLAN equipment, the Fritz!Box 7580 takes into account the constantly increasing number of WLAN devices in the household. The extended multi-antenna method (4x4 multi-user MIMO) enables an optimal connection to several WLAN devices used at the same time. At the same time, the Fritz! loudspeaker's dual WLAN enables it to work in parallel in the 2.4 GHz (WLAN N) and 5 GHz (WLAN AC) frequency bands, providing two WLAN networks and achieving data rates of up to 2,533 Mbps. Several very broadband intensive applications can thus be used in parallel operation.
These advanced WLAN transmission methods further increase the radio radius - at stable high data rates and over long distances in the home network.
The integrated PBX is designed for the new IP-based connections (Voice over IP). Telephone calls are made via up to six cordless telephones that can be registered at the integrated DECT base. Connections for two analogue and one ISDN telephone are also available. IP phones and smartphones also become full-fledged phones via WLAN.
Several integrated answering machines, local and online directories as well as numerous convenience functions complete the extensive telephony range of the Fritz!Box 7580. smarthome devices such as the switchable power socket Fritz! DECT 200 can also be controlled via the DECT base station.
The Fritz!Box brings all connected USB memory as well as online storage and the contents stored on it to the home network. Thanks to the integrated media server with NAS connection, stored movies, music and images are made available and can be distributed to playback devices via tablet or smartphone, for example. USB 3.0 ensures extra fast data transfer. The Fritz!Box 7850 thus forms a powerful platform for networked multimedia applications such as IPTV, video on demand or streaming.
The Fritz!Box 7580 always remains very economical in consumption thanks to several eco-mode automatisms.

Die Fritz Box 7580 ist zwar schon fast ein Jahr älter als die 7590, steht dem aktuellen Topmodell aber in kaum etwas nach. Ihr DSL- und WLAN-Tempo ist etwas geringer, der Stromverbrauch höher und das Design nicht so elegant und schlank. Doch unterm Strich ist die 7580 ein Router der Spitzenklasse.
Wie in vielen Vergleichstest von Routern steht auch hier ein Modell von AVM ganz oben. Die AVM FRITZ!BOX 7580 macht im Test durchweg eine gute Figur, einzig der Stromverbrauch könnte noch ein wenig geringer sein. Bei der Datenübertragung macht das Gerät einen guten Eindruck, bei der Sicherheit geht es kaum besser...

Krawumm! ? die neue FritzBox 7580 schlägt ein wie eine Bombe. Nicht nur, dass der WLAN-Router, wie immer bei AVM, über eine grandiose Ausstattung mit (V)DSL-Modem & CO. verfügt, auch die WLAN-Messungen sind Spitzenklasse. So rangiert die 7580 zu Recht ganz oben in der Bestenliste.
