The Fujinon XF 56mm F1.2 R WR is a compact and fast portrait and reportage lens designed for the award-winning Fujifilm X Series mirrorless system cameras. It is a lightweight telephoto lens with a focal length of 56 mm (equivalent to 85 mm in full-frame) and is the technically advanced successor to the very popular Fujinon XF 56mm F1.2 R.

This prime lens offers a significantly improved close focusing distance, even higher resolution, and an unparalleled beautiful background blur. While the predecessor was primarily suited for ambitious portrait photography, the new XF 56mm F1.2 R WR can also be used in a variety of other shooting situations, such as reportage, street, travel, landscape, or product photography. The use of aspherical lenses, ED elements, and lenses with special refractive properties minimizes imaging errors and guarantees a soft bokeh with flawless light circles. The optical design of the lens consists of 13 elements in eight groups and features 11 aperture blades.
