The SR225e has the same features as the SR125e, but with a 50% increase in airflow, achieved through an improved metal mask on the rear baffles. In this way, a further reduction in sound coloration is achieved. In addition, the driver chassis are selected more closely together (only 0.05 dB deviation), which results in an improvement of the spatial imaging. The increased spatiality and realistic sound character will please even the most demanding listeners.

The Grado SR225e is equipped with the larger ear cushions than the SR125e and is not placed on the ear, but encloses it. This makes the SR225e extremely comfortable to wear even when listening to music for long periods of time.

The warm and organic midrange, typical of Grado, reproduces voices and instruments in a lively and detailed way, and extends in the bass range to the deepest regions. The SR225e produces the unique Grado sound with warm harmonics, voluminous rich vocals, excellent dynamics and velvety, airy highs.
