The AF-S DX Nikkor 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR from Nikon is a 24-120mm equivalent zoom that is well suited for a variety of recording applications. The bright, maximum aperture range of f/2.8-4 offers low
light benefits and controls depth of field for selective focus. Equally impressive is the optical design with four extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements that help control both chromatic and spherical aberrations to achieve remarkable image clarity and sharpness. Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings are also available, minimizing stray light and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy when shooting in bright and backlit conditions.

This 16-80 mm model, which compensates for the optical benefits, also features the integration of an image stabilization system for vibration reduction that compensates for four blur stops to allow sharper shooting in handheld mode. A quiet wave motor also offers advantages in producing sharp images and offers fast and quiet autofocus performance as well as full-time manual focusing. In addition, this lens uses an electromagnetic aperture to ensure consistent exposure stability when shooting at high production speeds.
