The new Panasonic HX-A1 weighs only 45 grams, making it lightweight in appearance. Dustproof, shockproof, and waterproof, the camera withstands almost all environmental influences. With an optional standard infrared lamp and the included cover glass for night mode, recordings in the absence of natural light become possible.

The camera can record videos in Full HD at 30p. It can connect to tablets or smartphones via WiFi, allowing users to view the images captured by the HX-A1. When combined with a camcorder, it is possible to insert the HX-A1 recordings as a "picture-in-picture" alongside those from the camcorder. This results in videos that include both the "point-of-view" and the recording from the second camcorder.

Infrared Mode for Night Recordings

When paired with a separate infrared lamp and the cover glass for night mode, the HX-A1 is the ideal camera for filming in situations where there is insufficient daylight—such as at night or in dark caves. With its 0 Lux Night Mode, even the darkest forest comes to life. Weighing just 45 grams and with ultra-compact dimensions of only 26.0 x 26.0 x 83.1 mm, the camera can be easily and comfortably attached to a headset or helmet.

With the WiFi function, the HX-A1 can also connect to other devices like tablets or smartphones. Through the Panasonic Image App, the camera image can be accessed in real-time, allowing users to check if the framing is correct. The recorded videos can also be shared directly with friends on platforms like YouTube, Facebook, and Flickr.
