Denon Home 250

I have several Denon Home 150s, but also a 250 and a 350 and am very satisfied overall.
The 150s are used in the bathroom as mono and on the terrace as a stereo system. The 250 is also used outdoors in my coffee lounge for great sound. The 350 has replaced a complete stereo system in my home office.
The synchronisation with the Denon receiver is a bit tricky, because of the latency delay, the delay has to be corrected a bit on the AVR.
The app is not exactly a big hit, but it performs most tasks quite well. After a longer period of non-use, it can take a moment until all speakers in the local WLAN are found again. Restarting the app usually helps.
Software updates are sometimes a bit tedious, as they seem to take forever and paralyse the system during this time.

Together with the Maranz M-612 and the Heos app a very good multiroom music system with various combinations.
The functions of the app unfortunately leave much to be desired.
No structure and no reasonable user interface.
Who is master and who slave when combining the devices.
The app is reminiscent of a Dos computer of the 80s.
Only unidirectional hardly any feedback from the devices.

The speaker could never be put into operation. Every time after the firmware update, the speaker crashed and only blinked red. A soft and hard reset did nothing. Even the official Denon support recommended sending the device back.
Edit:
1st speaker sent back.
2. got new speaker / or installed firmware directly on the speaker (whatever)
3. now it works
So my tip: If the speaker doesn't work after installation, don't try it for long but send it straight in and wait 2 weeks for a working one.
That's why my new rating is a 3 (instead of a 1).
Errors of the app are simply not fixed, detailed error descriptions which I have already written several times are only ignored without answer... Bose and Sonos are unfortunately just such BOTTLES when it comes to programming, so unfortunately there is no better alternative to Denon

We are absolutely thrilled with the Wifi speaker! Great sound, chic design which fits in with us super and the simple operation is "family-suitable"! The speaker is in the dining room - and we are still considering the 150er for the kitchen to buy. We can absolutely recommend the DenonHome250 for all who want to have a simple and well-functioning solution but do not want to do without good KLang.
The installation worked great in a few steps. The buttons on top of the speaker allow operation even without a smartphone, Start/Stop, Next,... and the preset buttons are simply practical - start Spotify, favorite radio stations...

Visually, it must be said that this "in real" looks much nicer than on the pictures shown here. Furthermore, the Home 250 is still so compact that this virtually finds space on any shelf and still looks chic and elegant. My conclusion after the first few days: Sonically really the absolute hammer. Operation runs intuitively via the HEOS app, on IOS this runs smoothly and without problems.
Basses go down nice and deep, but do not seem too dominant. Treble is still represented clearly and precisely -> is a "normal" Hifi system in nothing inferior!!!
Overall, I am really very satisfied with the Home 250 and am pleased that the link between my Echo and the Denon Home 250 worked great. I can now control my music by voice command.

I bought the Denon Home 250 as an extension to my existing HEOS network. In addition to the home cinema in the living room, music should now also be streamed in the kitchen. My conclusion after the first few days: Soundwise really the absolute hammer. Basses go down nice and deep, but do not seem too dominant. Treble is still represented clearly and precisely -> is a "normal" hi-fi system in nothing after!!! Operation runs intuitively via the HEOS app, on IOS this runs smoothly and without problems.

I must admit I am a big Denon fan and was very pleased when I heard about the new Denon Home series. I already own some Denon wireless speakers from the HEOS series and was so far also very satisfied both sonically and from the operation. But I have to say with the Home 250 Denon has put one more on it. The sound is really hammer and again a clear upgrade to the HEOS models. Also, new features have now been added such as the quick selection buttons, which I have missed a little in the other models.
I like the design very much. Although no longer fits to the other models, but since I use the speakers anyway in different rooms also not so bad. The important thing is that I can continue to connect all speakers with each other whether new or old. Runs.
So far just fully excited and think will not be my last speaker.
