Price performance is top!
Many setting options
Can also be controlled well via the smartphone, the app is somewhat complicated...
No 4k...have the Xbox connected directly to the TV and optically to the onkyo!

It is neither clunky nor anything else. AV receivers in this range are like that, and if that doesn't suit you, you should buy a slim version.
Good and inexpensive AV receiver. I can still recommend it, but after a few years I switched to a Yamaha. Either it was my setup or the picture quality is immensely better with the Yamaha.

I don't have a 7.1 setup now, but I feel that 5.1 is better than my previous TX-NR616 and TX-NR636. It has a lot of "rumble" and power :-)
(However, I don't have any comparisons with other receiver manufacturers).

Super amplifier at a phenomenal price, the only downer is that the speaker connections for the normal plugless cables are a little too small for thicker hi-fi cables, but with a little "fiddling" you can get them in.

A very well made amplifier. Excellent for home cinema, more discreet for hi-fi, but that's not its primary use.

Very good! Setup is also very simple. However, you should not / cannot rely 100% on the calibration via microphone. I prefer to set the distance and crossover manually myself.
By the way, you have to install the firmware update manually via USB, because the system somehow thinks that there is no new firmware online.

Incredibly versatile "mid-range" receiver with top-class qualities. Decoder for dts:X and Dolby Atmos! Audio upscaler dts Neural:X and Dolby Surround are also on board. Conventional audio tracks in dts-HD, dts 5.1, Dolby Digital 5.1 or Dolby True HD can be used for ceiling speakers for 5.1.2 or 5.2.2. The TX-NR676E has two pre-outs for connecting two active subwoofers.

I don't want to rub anyone's nose in it. But the Black Friday deal was great! It does what it's supposed to, but sometimes when I switch from TV to Spotify, then back to Chromecast, it gets stuck. Has happened 3 times in a month now. No big deal. Just turn it off and on again and everything works again.
