Recommended if wired Network port is not needed

All great EXPECT 1 important thing: 100 Mbps wired Network connection only. Wrote an email to Philips who confirmed that it's only a 100 Mbps port. Unbelievable to see that in 2019, one would expect 1 Gbps port ... which is very much required if you want to stream from your NAS 4k videos.

    Ultimate picture with Ambilight-gasm!

A very great upgrade from my not quite 4 year old Sony 4K TV which suddenly gave up the ghost.... Shame on you, Sony.
The black levels are just great, but with HDR content the picture is clearly too dark with the default
settings and had to be adjusted with some effort, but now I am quite satisfied. I wouldn't want to do without Ambilight, it's just great! I only tested the speakers briefly because I connected the whole thing to a receiver, but the sound is surprisingly good. I also find the remote control quite practical with the QWERTY keyboard on the back, Goggle Assistant with microphone and a handy Netflix button (for those who need it).
Android OS 9.0 is fast and it is easy to install apps from the Google Playstore (Kodi).

Unfortunately, there is no eARC connection, it only has ARC. So only a DTS downmix is transmitted to the receiver. However, this can be compensated for with an external media player such as the Nvidi Shield Pro. HDMI 2.1 is also missing, so if you want to buy a Playstation 5 or an Xbox Series X, you'd better get another TV. Sometimes it has a quirk and starts up with TV sound in the background, even though I'm in the home menu.
The picture should also be a bit brighter during the day, my Sony coped better. But this is a well-known phenomenon with OLEDs, which cut the brightness in particularly bright scenes to protect the screen. In my opinion, Philips goes too far with this device. (Automatic Brightness Limiter, ABL) But perfect in the evening.

Top TV with Android, good picture and Ambilight

Operate the TV with LAN cable and watch 4k via Netflix and Youtube without problems, good remote control that can also control my Sonos, the TV supports externally connected systems very well. No defects so far.

    Excellent TV, but...

The picture quality is perfect! Nevertheless the sound is not really good, with their central bass speaker at the back, fast saturation guaranteed, sound column therefore indispensable.
