I would buy again.
Really a great tablet. The only thing that bothers me is the power button, which is not too convenient to reach.

Hardware: excellent. Samsung's software layer: to be avoided.
Nice tablet, excellent finish, quite fast, excellent sound, thin and light.
However, I find that the thinness of the device is at the same time a weakness in the sense that this characteristic also makes it fragile. So I recommend buying a case (not the expensive one from Samsing) and I don't care if you can't see the golden back (in my case) of the tablet anymore.
By the way: the Galaxy Tab S4 and S6 are compatible with the s-Pen. Why not the S5? Too bad
Overall, I'm satisfied. Except for the really impressive number of bloatwares installed by Samsung in addition to those of Google. This leads to aberrations such as 2 mail applications on the same device (Gmail and Samsung Mail).
In addition, there are several pre-installed - and uninstallable - 'system' applications that are specific to a Galaxy smartphone. And the others ... ?
Not to mention the equally impressive number of permissions granted to certain applications. The result is that memory is being used in vain for imposed and terribly intrusive software nonsense, not necessarily useful for everyone, and not uninstallable on the fallacious grounds that they are part of the system. I would buy again.
Super display, battery lasts for what feels like an eternity. I often use it for Netflix on the train, and it's great for that. When on holiday, it's great to edit photos with Lightroom Mobile. With a suitable adapter, the photos can be imported directly from the SD card, so a notebook is no longer necessary.

An excellent large-screen tablet at a reasonable price
An excellent mid-range tablet with the possibility to expand storage to 512GB vis an internal SD card. I've now bought three of them, two for myself and one for my sister. On one of mine, I've stored all my digital photos on the internal SD card for easy access and for displaying to friends and family. The screen is lovely for this purpose, or for viewing YouTube videos.
