Device cannot be used
Unfortunately, the "buecher.de" platform is pre-installed on the device. It is not possible to open an account with a Swiss address, which means the device cannot be used. Unfortunately, I had to send it back and order a new one from Orell Füssli - very annoying!

Top vs. flop
Bought the de luxe Tolino for the holidays. Spent hours trying to register with buecher.de. Impossible as a CH citizen. Digitec took the Tolino back without any problems and refunded the money within minutes.
Perhaps at some point in the future it will be possible to have the Tolino from Digitec with a CH shop.
(Without this registration, a connection to an online library would have been impossible).Pro

Wrong shop
The Epos3 was linked to a shop that is not available in Switzerland and therefore cannot be used. It is not possible to register and therefore you cannot link your library. Customer service was unable to help and kept claiming that it should be possible to change the shop. However, this was not possible even after hours of research.
Good reader. The default setting of the bookshop Weltbild.ch is absolutely annoying. Cannot be changed!
The workaround is that the directory for the books is at least accessible when connected to a PC via USB. This allows you to load purchased eBooks from other bookshops. But it's still quite tedious, this stupid shop constraint. You can't integrate your own cloud.

tolino epos 3 is very good-super as a pure e-reader
Mac compatibility: not compatible with Mac!!!!!! Connecting the tolino eReader to a Mac computer is not supported. The additional software does not work for me.

The device comes with "branding", when setting it up you have to choose a bookseller, and on the start page books from Orell Füssli are now advertised by default. It feels like I have to register with Orell Füssli every second time I click...

I would recommend the Kobo Sage. It's the same device but with a better OS which supports CBZ for mangas etc.

The device can only be connected to Bücher.de.

Digitec fails to state that the Tolino can only be used with bücher.de and not with OrellFüssli! This would certainly be important information for Swiss users, which is probably most of them.

massively disappointed with the device. handling was okay, but the tolino constantly hangs up
I wouldn't buy the device again, too expensive for the quality, there are better readers in the same price segment. Now I'm waiting for a replacement or repair from the supplier, it may take longer than I've been able to use the Epos 3 so far.

Maybe I'm spoilt by tablets, but the performance for a b/w display with 3 buttons that costs over €200 is really subterranean. I had actually decided in favour of the epos 3 based on the Stiftung Warentest verdict, but I can't understand the scores. A price of €120-130 would still be ok.

Good reader with very weak battery performance
Actually a good device. But the battery lasts a maximum of one day with intensive reading without backlighting.

Tolino Epos 3
The whole idea of the large screen is that the font size can be increased to read in bed without glasses. Works well.

Do not have the ordered goods delivered by Planzer Transport!!!
Ordered on 8 July and shipped by Galaxus on the same day. Should be delivered by Planzer Transport the next day.... I'm still waiting for my order today. I have contacted Planzer and Galaxus, but nobody feels obliged to do anything. By the way, today is 16 July and I have already received another message that the delivery is delayed. I wonder when I will receive my Tolino.

Unfortunately, Digitec Galaxus does not mention that Weltbild is required as the primary account and that this is therefore also the primary shop. The rating is therefore more against Digitec Galaxus than the product itself. So it is simply more tedious handling
