The Premium Smart Remote Control BN59-01242A introduces a new control concept from Samsung for the first time. Based on the fast and sleek Tizen operating system, the control of the device is fundamentally changed through the Smart Hub interface of the TV compared to previous models. A combination of infrared and Bluetooth is used for signal transmission. The television is turned on with a Power ON signal via infrared. Once the device is powered on, the operation switches to Bluetooth transmission mode. The control is excellent for navigating media menus and external sources.
