XA elements and accurate spherical aberration correction in design and manufacturing result in the beautiful bokeh typical of G Master. A circular aperture mechanism with 11 blades contributes to a beautiful circular bokeh.

Even with the extremely shallow depth of field at 50mm F1.2, AF is fast and accurate. Four XD (eXtreme Dynamic) linear motors control the AF's large, heavy focus groups quickly and accurately.
