With its built-in GPS function, it can now track all waypoints even without a smartphone nearby. Later, these can be synchronized with your phone, and the routes taken can be displayed via Google Maps.

Der SmartWatch 3 kann man ein insgesamt sehr gutes Gesamtpaket bescheinigen. Angefangen bei einem guten Verhältnis aus Preis und Leistung, über die gute Laufzeit bis hin zu der sehr guten Ausstattung überzeugt die Sony Smartwatch auf ganzer Linie. Auch die Bedienung gelingt hier sehr gut.
Auch bei der Sony Smartwatch ist die Funktionsvielfalt ohne Nutzung des Smartphones eher mager, wobei hier die Akkulaufzeit mit rund 3 Tagen noch in Ordnung geht. Verbindet man aber das Modell mit dem Handy wird aus der Uhr eine echte Rechenzentrale mit zahlreichen Features wie E-Mail Abruf oder Mediaplayer...

Das Fazit fällt recht entäuschend aus. Die Streckenaufzeichungen per GPS sind sehr ungenau, die Akkulaufzeit mit aktiviertem GPS ist mäßig, nur wenige App ermöglichen einen Einsatz als GPS-Sportuhr unabhängig von einem Smartphone. Die Sony Smartwatch 3 eignet sich somit primär für Sportler, die allenfalls mal ein Läufchen aufzeichnen möchten und keine ambitionierten Ziele haben...
