Built to a high standard. One of the best finished turntables. Somewhat dull sound with little treble and less dynamic than most. Easy to handle. Manual operation, direct drive. Has a USB port for digitising records.
- Very good workmanship
- valuable appearance
- excellent facilities
- Supplied Sumiko pickup showed weaknesses
Teac succeeded in creating an astonishingly robust combination of turntable and tonearm. The direct drive was convincing all along the line, the SAEC tonearm played above its price class. Unfortunately, the sound of the Sumiko system did not inspire me. With an Ortofon 2M Red, the sun truly rose in the test! You should invest the additional 110 euros in any case.
