Der Speedport W 724V ist das aktuellste Modell der Telekom-Router. Die Leistungswerte sind zwar nur Durchschnitt, aber nicht schlecht. Die Ausstattung mit integriertem DSL-Modem, Voice-over-IP und FTP-Unterstützung ist gut. Die Software bietet für den hohen Preis allerdings zu wenig Funktionen.
Die Installation und die Konfiguration des Speedport W 724V gestaltet sich nur befriedigend. Auch bei der Funktionalität ist der Deutsche Telekom Router nicht optimal aufgestellt. Mit seiner guten Ausstattung und einer guten Leistung kann er sich im Test dennoch auszeichnen.
