Die Toshiba Canvio Alu 2 TB (brutto) sieht gut aus und liefert eine für den Einsatzzweck ausreichende Performance ab. Nutzt man sein externes Laufwerk vor allem als externen Datenspeicher oder Backup-Medium, so kann man gut auf die deutlich höheren Transferraten und die vielfach kürzeren Zugriffszeiten von Solid State Drives verzichten...

Bei der Toshiba Stor.E Canvio Alu 2TB (HDTH320EK3CA) bezahlt man nicht zu viel für seine Leistung, die reine Performance könnte dennoch etwas besser sein. Darüber hinaus ist sie jedoch recht mobil, sie arbeitet mit einer angenehmen Lautstärke und vor allem auch der geringe Stromverbrauch gefällt hier.

Die sauber verarbeitete Festplatte macht beim Kopieren einen tollen Job und arbeitet dabei mit hohem Tempo. Auch der leise Lauf der Festplatte gefällt hier, wobei allerdings die USB 3.0 Leistung höher ausfallen könnt. Auch eine Software zum Anlegen eines Backups fehlt hier, sodass deutlicher Punktabzug die Folge ist.

Die Toshiba ist nur geringfügig schwächer aufgestellt als die My Passport von WD. Dabei ist sie ebenfalls sehr leise im Betrieb und kann extrem schnell kopieren wenn man sie mittels USB 2.0 Port mit einem externen Gerät verbindet. Leider sind die Datenraten auch hier via USB 3.0 eher mäßig.
