Product details

The MC200CM is a media converter designed to convert 1000BASE-SX fiber media to 1000Base-T copper media or vice versa. The MC200CM has been designed according to the 1000Base-T standard (IEEE802.3ab) and
the 1000Base-SX standard (IEEE802.3z) and is intended for use with multimode fiber optic cables and the SC connector. The MC200CM supports the short-wavelength (SX) laser specification at a full bandwidth forwarding rate. It works at 850nm both when sending and receiving data.

Other features of the module include: the ability to use the unit as a stand-alone device (no enclosure is required) or with TP-Link's 19-inch system enclosure, Auto-MDI/MDIX for the transmit port, and front panel status LED. The MC200CM transmits in Fibre Optic Long Distance mode over a distance of up to 550m using the multimode fibre optic cable.
