Decent features and good wearing comfort - but there is literally room for improvement in terms of sound quality.
New in Stiftung Warentest's headphone comparison: 32 current in-ear and headband headphones. One of them delivers top sound, another is top fit for sports. In addition to the test winners, the current test offers many other good headphones. With long battery runtimes of up to almost 86 hours, the headphones with earpieces scored particularly well...

A look at the frequency response shows it: These headphones delivered a powerful bass foundation. For our taste, however, it was too much of a good thing. A pity, because the mids were reproduced transparently, while the highs seemed authentic and fresh. If the app offered an equaliser, the bass could still be adjusted, but unfortunately it does not.

I won't give them back. These Yamaha headphones have convinced me like hardly any other headphones in the recent past. It plays wonderfully juicy and powerful, the bass foundation is amazingly deep. In addition, there is a perfect portion of analysis. The noise cancelling is superb.
The Yamaha YH-E700A is available in white (from 316 euros) and in black (from 332 euros). For this price, the model is a very good deal and on par with the Sony WH-1000XM4 (tested) (from 309 euros). In terms of sound, the YH-E700A is superior to the WH-1000XM4. In terms of ANC, however, the WH-1000XM4 has the edge in typical situations, as it cuts out low frequencies more...
