The Bosch Radiator Thermostat II is the upgraded version of the original - and will also be available with Matter from the end of 2024. It has a robust housing, a large, easy-to-read display and a nice light ring that briefly lights up red or blue depending on the set temperature. The smartphone app could do with a bit more love: it seems confusing - important functions are hidden in the menus.
- Barely audible
- Childproof lock
- Heating according to weather conditions
- No preheating
- does not recognise the occupant location
In the upgraded version "II", Bosch offers a robust housing, a large, easy-to-read display and a nice light ring that briefly lights up red or blue depending on the set temperature. The smartphone app is a little confusing - some important functions are hidden in the menus.
On the road and forgot to turn off the heating? With digital radiator thermostats, that's no longer a problem. The room temperature can be turned up or down from anywhere via a smartphone app. The apps also enable automatic heating according to schedule. At home, heating only takes place when it should be warm - without you having to worry about it. This way you can also save energy and costs.
- Good integration into the Bosch Smart Home System
- Compatible Philips Hue, Alexa, Google Assistant and HomeKit
- Matter update in prospect
- Some functions only with extra hardware
- Currently no HomeKit connection with Bosch Smart Home Controller II
The second generation of Bosch's smart radiator controllers does a very decent job in our test without standing out particularly. The design, workmanship and general everyday performance are convincing. As with all larger systems, the Bosch radiator thermostats II are primarily worthwhile if you use a smart home solution from Bosch anyway or are planning to do so...
- Convenient creation of heating plans
