In der ersten Gruppe (Marktpreis von über 1.000,00 ?) konnte sich das Modell von Melitta durchsetzen: Es lässt sich in intuitiver Art und Weise handhaben und besticht zudem mit zwei separaten Bohnenkammern. Ferner bietet das Modell eine opulente Auswahl an Getränken (mit und ohne Milch bzw. Milchschaum), die sich wahlweise auch doppelt beziehen lassen.
Für zwei Kaffeesorten. Praktisch für unterschiedliche Geschmäcker: Besitzt zwei Fächer für verschiedene Bohnensorten. Brüht guten Espresso mit etwas lockerer Crema. Einstellungen können während des Brühens fix übers Display geändert werden. Einfache Menüführung. Über 30 Rezepte abrufbar...
Die Melitta ist die einzige Maschine im Testfeld, die zuerst den Kaffee brüht und dann die Milch hinzugibt. Somit gelingen Cappuccino und Latte Macchiato besonders gut und das mit eine festen Milchschaum. Zudem ist die Bedienung extrem einfach und der Nutzer kann hier zwei Bohnenbehälter mit verschiedenen Sorten befüllen.

Durch den höhenverstellbaren Auslauf passen auch große Gläser für Heißgetränke ohne Probleme unter den Ausguß. Dabei ist die Bedienung sehr einfach und der Kaffee wohlschmeckend. Auch hier ist das Entleeren des Tresterbehälters etwas umständlich gelöst, wobei zwei Bohnensorten in zwei Fächer verarbeitet werden können.
