Widest brush. Cheapest with good suction power on hard floor, but high follow-up costs for consumables. Cleans hard floors well of coarse dirt. On carpet weak at corners and edges, but with the best surface coverage. Hardly pollutes the air with dust when vacuuming, but is noisy on hard floors.
- "very good" coordination
- short charging time (117 min)
- short and concise operating instructions
- Increasingly collides with obstacles
The systematic floor cleaning is this robot's greatest strength: at the end of the individual test phases, it has reached almost every spot on the floor in the test room. With the exception of the short instruction manual, the operation is also mostly easy. The suction performance, however, is sometimes only "satisfactory".
- Many functions
- Remote control included
- According to
- Looks a little rickety
- Suction power hardly adjustable
The most expensive vacuums are also the best: the Ecovacs, Roborock and iRobot devices for 700 euros make it onto the winner's podium. The test victory goes to Ecovacs: it navigates smartly and quickly through the rooms and collects the most dirt. It also scores with many functions and spirited wiping...
- Laser navigation with room recognition for multiple floors
- Virtual and physical area boundaries
- Controllable via app, voice assistants and smartwatches (Apple Watch, Android Wear)
- Different absorbencies including gentle mode
- IFTTT support
The vacuum robot with the unconventional design is not only well equipped, but also scores points with its extensive operating functions. The floor sweeper from California is laser-guided and climbs easily over small steps or carpet edges.
- Long battery life
- Large dust container
- Problems with carpet fringes and corners
- Moderate suction power
In comparison, the Botvac V7 Connected vacuum robot from Neato performs solidly. It excels in the categories of features and comfort. The navigation is also more than satisfactory. However, the device's suction performance is weak and at around 600 euros it is just about acceptable in terms of price-performance ratio.
- Integrated WLAN
- Many functions via app
- Large dust container
The Neato Botvac D7 is a powerful but quiet robot vacuum cleaner that delivers a very good cleaning performance. The easy set-up and operation of the app, which offers many convenient functions, is pleasing.
