You will receive new destination cards for Europe, as well as new warehouses and train depots for a completely new game mechanic in all Ticket to Ride versions. The Ticket to Ride: Europe 1912 expansion includes 101 destination cards, of which 55 are new and 46 are original destination cards. The 55 new destination cards allow for three new variations for the Ticket to Ride: Europe game board: "Europe Expanded" adds 19 new cards to the 46 original destination cards; "Europe's Major Cities" uses only destination cards featuring the 9 most important European cities; and "Mega-Europe" is played with all the new and the 46 old destination cards. This expansion also introduces warehouses and train depots—new game rules and materials that create a new strategic layer and can be played with any Ticket to Ride game board. During a game, train cards are regularly placed in the warehouses. Players with the best foresight, good timing, or simply the most luck can snag a handful of additional train cards when using a route that leads to a city with a depot. Strategically placing the depots and skillfully maneuvering with the warehouses will become a crucial part of a winning Ticket to Ride strategy. An original edition of any standalone game from the Ticket to Ride series is required to play with the new rules for warehouses and train depots. The new destination cards can only be used for Ticket to Ride: Europe.
