Test Report

Baby monitors in the test: only 2 out of 17 are good

Parents rely on baby monitors to reliably report noises from the nursery. But not all of the 17 baby monitors in the latest test fulfil this promise. Stiftung Warentest tested classic models that only transmit sound or sound and picture as well as "smart" baby webcams (prices: 45 to 250 euros). Only two devices are good. The test shows that webcam videos can easily be intercepted by strangers. Pleasing: electrosmog is not a problem.
