Electricity meters tested - these devices expose power guzzlers

How much does it cost to leave the TV permanently on standby? How much electricity does the old refrigerator in the party room consume? And does the washing machine not only throw laundry out the window, but also money? In times of rising electricity prices, many people ask themselves such questions. Answers are provided by electricity meters that can be connected between the socket and the electrical appliance, determine consumption and expose electricity guzzlers. The Stiftung Warentest electricity meter test shows that quality does not have to cost a lot. Models costing as little as 9 euros deliver good measurement results. But not all of them can be relied on.
