Cat 8.1 patch cables are used for 25/40GBASE-T applications, with a transmission range of up to 30 meters and a transmission power of up to 2 GHz, which is four times the bandwidth of Cat 6A.

These cables are suitable for 25/40G Base-T Ethernet networks (40 Gigabit capable) and are backward compatible with CAT 8 Channel Link. They are 100% tested, and each cable comes with an attached test report and serial number. The maximum bandwidth is 2000 MHz (2 GHz). The novel RJ45 Cat 8 connector adheres to industry standards and features 50µ gold plated contact surfaces. The shielded RJ45 plug includes a latch and latch protection.
