In the 500 GB SSD category, the Asus ROG Strix Arion S (for 145 euros) came out on top. Not quite as fast, but also not as expensive and thus the price-performance winner is the Intenso Portable SSD Professional (80 euros). Among the SSDs with 1000GB, the WD My Passport SSD came out on top in a top trio with very high speed...

Stylish aluminium casing and plenty of speed - the Lacie Portable SSD is a top SSD, even if it's not quite enough for first place in the best list. However, the tested 2-terabyte version is expensive (350 euros). If you don't need quite as much storage space, you can also go for the 1-terabyte model at half the price.

The Lacie impresses with its good design and high performance for a USB-C-SSD. If you are afraid of the high costs of a Thunderbolt SSD, it is a good alternative with high performance.
