Product details
The Cheetah 15K.7 is available as a self-encrypting model as well as a self-encrypting model compliant with FIPS certification. Both models ensure that this hard drive does not need to be overwritten or even destroyed. They allow for secure return of the hard drive in case of warranty claims or lease expiration. Companies can also safely repurpose or resell the hard drive. For additional physical security and to comply with stricter legal regulations, the self-encrypting model meets the FIPS 140-2 Validated standard and can be used for confidential but unclassified or protected (A or B) data.
With these models that work with Seagate Secure, OEMs and system manufacturers can gain a competitive advantage, offer outstanding solutions (with better data security), target new customer groups (with high security needs), and maintain brand value as well as customer trust.
