Product details

With a crop zoom that takes advantage of the high pixel count, this camera offers users image quality and creative freedom that is only possible with a high-resolution camera. The fp L is another option
within the fp series to create shots with only the features you really need - nothing more, nothing less.

The fp L features a full-frame Bayer sensor with approximately 61 effective megapixels. Thanks to this 61MP image sensor, it offers exceptional resolving power while still staying true to the Sigma fp development concepts - being the world's smallest and lightest full-frame camera to plug in, as well as offering smooth switching between photo and cine modes, and last but not least, the outstanding adaptability and versatility.

A camera that preserves the essence of photography, the Sigma fp L is the world's smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless camera. You can take it with you anywhere, anytime - creating a relationship between you and your full frame camera.

From vintage lenses to modern gadgets to professional film setups. It's never been easier to create your own style. Pair the fp L with lenses and accessories or enjoy a vintage lens with an adapter. Keep it small and casual to take out for everyday snapshots, or create a full-fledged filmmaker setup. Customize your fp L exactly the way you want it.

Capture your best moment. Photo or video? It's your choice. Change shooting modes with the touch of a button. The Sigma fp L seamlessly switches between video and photo, responding directly to how you like to shoot and transcending the boundaries of style or genre.

The Sigma fp L features a Bayer sensor with approximately 61 effective megapixels, which is higher resolution than any SIGMA camera before it. In addition to images with fine detail, the fp L can produce images that are high-resolution and rich in color thanks to its extremely high pixel count and experience in developing cameras with a Foveon sensor. Because of its image quality, which is basically free of color artifacts, the heritage of the Foveon sensor was also behind the decision that the fp L should have a low-pass filter to reduce moiré to a minimum.

In addition to high-precision contrast AF, the Sigma fp L has fast phase AF. With this hybrid AF, you can enjoy smooth autofocus that is highly accurate, fast and great for tracking a moving subject whether you're shooting stills or video.

A body covered in die-cast aluminum front and rear provides superior ruggedness and heat dissipation while keeping the weight light. The Sigma fp series is protected by dust and splash proof sealing at a total of 42 points. Combined with a large magnesium heat sink that prevents overheating, the Sigma fp series is a reliable choice for shooting in a wide range of conditions and for long hours of operation.

Foto MagazinSingle testReleaseAugust 2021

In some respects, the Sigma fpL is an excellent camera. It even achieves better image quality in the high ISO levels than the other 61 MP camera, the Sony Alpha 7R IV - and at a much lower price. It also cuts a good figure as a video camera. On the other hand, it has some strong limitations: With the viewfinder mounted, it is unwieldy and cannot be charged, the viewfinder and flash cannot be used together,...
