Consistent AF performance from close-up to infinity, coupled with superb image sharpness right to the edges, even at open aperture, makes this lens ideally suited to a wide range of photographic genres and tasks, getting the maximum imaging performance out of modern full-frame DSLR cameras.

Exclusive next-generation Tokina ELR coating

Newly developed exclusively for the opera series, the Tokina ELR (Extremely Low Reflection) coating greatly reduces the average light reflectance in the visible light spectrum compared to the performance of a conventional coating. This technology significantly minimizes ghosting and flares even in highly illuminated environments.

Lens sealing against dust and moisture penetration

The lens is sealed at a total of eight joints to prevent dust and moisture from entering the body. When used with a DSLR camera that is also sealed, the opera can be used without problems even in unfavourable shooting conditions such as drizzle or damp fog.

Focus ring rotation

The direction of the focus ring rotation of the Tokina opera 5omm F1.4 FF is the same as that of the original Nikon and Canon lenses.

Quiet and precise AF drive module

To ensure fast and accurate AF, the Tokina opera 5omm F1.4 FF features a powerful, ring-shaped ultrasonic motor for virtually silent operation. A wide range of shots that once seemed impossible can now be achieved with this lens.
