Fast SSDs have become affordable. For most users, SSDs with USB 3.2 Gen2 and 1 or 2 TB of storage space are the best choice. Here, the SK Hynix Beetle X31 Portable (1 TB, 100 euros) and the Emtec X210 (2 TB, 140 euros) were the best in the test. The Kingston XS1000 (80 euros) was the price-performance winner among the 1 TB models...

- Shockproof aluminium housing
- Rubber cover
- Very high transfer rates
- 5 years manufacturer's warranty
- Rare USB interface standard
This external SSD is not only handy, but also powerful - especially when it comes to reading tasks. Here, in theory and practice, it almost exhausts what is realistically achievable for the USB-C port in the USB 3.2 Gen2x2 version. Thanks to the rubber coating and password protection via software, the data is doubly secure...
- Fast and shock-protected
- Slow when writing for a long time

If you pull it off, a rather unattractive plastic casing is revealed underneath. The benchmarks leave a somewhat ambivalent impression: on the one hand, the SSD is very slow with only 133 MByte/s when writing completely,...
