This printer uses the thermal transfer method, where the color is melted from a separate ribbon onto the label paper and permanently bonds to the medium through heat. This produces durable, resilient printed materials. The use of additional consumables makes handling slightly more complex compared to direct thermal printers, and it generates more waste.
