The lens consists of 10 lenses in 8 groups, including 1 aspherical element. The aspherical lens suppresses spherical aberration and distortion.
The classic medium telephoto focal length of 42.5mm, corresponding to 85mm for a 35mm camera, is ideal for portrait photography. The large aperture allows a targeted handling of the small depth of field.
The 7 aperture lamellas result in an almost circular aperture and therefore a beautiful, soft bokeh in the blurred areas of the subject, especially with larger aperture.
A signal transmission rate of up to 240B/second ensures the fastest response with current high-speed AF cameras such as the LUMIX GM5.
At the same time, the focus of the photo and video is smooth and quiet.
With its metal body and its robust and durable metal bayonet as well as a lens hood, it harmonizes perfectly with all models of the LUMIX G series.
