The belt drive ensures good running characteristics thanks to the mechanically decoupled connection between motor and turntable. The rubber strap connection minimizes unwanted vibrations and other disturbing
noises, ensures smooth running and thus optimum sound quality when playing your favourite records. The turntable has different adjustable speeds. These are expressed in rounds per minute (rpm). For 12" LPs select 33 1/3 rpm, for smaller singles and EPs select 45 rpm. 78 rpm is only needed for the very old shellac records, which are hardly relevant today.
