Not easy to do. As far as I know, with 'normal' mobile connections you are behind NAT and transparent proxies, etc. and therefore have no public IP to your own device. In principle, you can only get through with complicated methods such as TCP hole punching or, in this case, with UDP hole punching. For this you usually need an external host with a public IP that negotiates the connections, encapsulates the packets and provides the services such as FTP on a fixed port (see e.g. STUN). Warning: Such methods usually violate the terms of use or the general terms and conditions; this can lead to termination of the contract or more trouble.

We use Netgear Nighthawk with Sunrise 4G. Although this router is referenced as the best solution for 4G, we have encountered a lot of issues. Connection fails several times per day and does not necessarily restart automatically, so most all our connected devices do not function well. We tried different settings (config interface has tons of options), but nothing really helped. If we put this card into a mobile phone we do not have this problem, so it seems related to router.

Yes, the external antennas are WLAN antennas. The 4G antennas are installed internally and no external antennas can be connected. Therefore, the signal can only be improved via the location of the device. The transmission rate decreases significantly with a poor signal.

Hello! I have this router and it shouldn't be a problem! The very first time you have to configure it, but afterwards you can turn it on and off without any problems! Have a nice day!
