Netgear R7100LG Nighthawk
Netgear R7100LG Nighthawk
It's the same for me with Zattoo...
Not easy to do. As far as I know, with 'normal' mobile connections you are behind NAT and transparent proxies, etc. and therefore have no public IP to your own device. In principle, you can only get through with complicated methods such as TCP hole punching or, in this case, with UDP hole punching. For this you usually need an external host with a public IP that negotiates the connections, encapsulates the packets and provides the services such as FTP on a fixed port (see e.g. STUN). Warning: Such methods usually violate the terms of use or the general terms and conditions; this can lead to termination of the contract or more trouble.
Also noted for us; 802.11g/n transmission rate 300 Mbit/s :-)
We use Netgear Nighthawk with Sunrise 4G. Although this router is referenced as the best solution for 4G, we have encountered a lot of issues. Connection fails several times per day and does not necessarily restart automatically, so most all our connected devices do not function well. We tried different settings (config interface has tons of options), but nothing really helped. If we put this card into a mobile phone we do not have this problem, so it seems related to router.
Port forwarding only works on the WAN port due to the way 4G works.
Yes, the external antennas are WLAN antennas. The 4G antennas are installed internally and no external antennas can be connected. Therefore, the signal can only be improved via the location of the device. The transmission rate decreases significantly with a poor signal.
Yes, I think so. They are the normal SMA connections. I ordered an extra antenna, but it hasn't arrived yet.
Unfortunately, I can't find a suitable FW either, but Netgear also states this in its own data sheet... I have asked netgear and removed the reference in our shop.
I would also be interested in this! I have the 300mbit 2SIM subscription for 130Fr a month and would like to plug the 2nd SIM into an lte router.... Can this router access the full 300mbit? are there interruptions when gaming?
Ok, figure out the issue, I needed it to enter to configure manually the Broadband mobile settings and adapt the APN to my provider, in this case, SALT. Hope this helps for future buyers. Thanks.
Way better Wifi, Gigabit Ethernet Ports, Advanced Features such as Firewall and QoS.
Hello! I have this router and it shouldn't be a problem! The very first time you have to configure it, but afterwards you can turn it on and off without any problems! Have a nice day!
So far none at all, but of course it depends on the network coverage. Online gaming, Netflix, Zattoo without problems.
